I was born and raised in Tenerife in a multicultural environment where I attended a British school on the island. It was thanks to this colourful background that made my childhood a pretty interesting one. One of the most striking things during this time was that my parents refused to have a TV at home, at a young age I naturally detested this but the flipside was that it resulted in me spending most of my time outdoors exploring my natural environment. I´d go spearfishing, surfing and go on endless hikes exploring- to name a few activities. Over the years I developed a tight bond with the great outdoors and It was during this period that I had become somewhat frustrated at the lack of images available that reflected this intrinsically beautiful and diverse landscape. The only imagery available where the typical postcards and since Tenerife was a full-on tourist destination, art galleries and exhibitions were almost unheard of (sadly nowadays that sort of cultural aspect is still lacking). It wasn’t till 2008 that I was able to purchase my first digital camera. I felt ecstatic with the thought of the possibility of being able to capture this plethora of natural beauty in my own way. My next big hurdle was figuring out how to manage all the sophisticated technology in the camera and convert it all into an image. At the time there were no camera clubs or photography courses on the island nor countless YouTube tutorials like nowadays to learn from. It was a combination of endless devotion, lots of trial and error and having a good mentor (Michael Bolognesi) that enabled me to endure this long and steep photographic journey of perfecting and mastering the use of filters to balance exposures which was the traditional and popular way of doing landscape photography at the time. It was a long and steep journey but looking back I wouldn’t have swapped it for anything in the world.

As the years went by, my obsession with Photography started to bear its fruits and In 2012 I felt comfortable enough to host my first public seminar on Filters for landscape photography. Shortly afterwards this was followed by my first sponsorship by Formatt-Hitech filters and Lucroit Filter holders in 2013. Then in 2016, I joined 3 Legged Thing tripods as a Pro team member. Since 2014 I run my own Workshops and tours company.
